The first 9-12 months will be very project based, the candidate will support the lab getting to GMP state, Lab Equipment qualifications and overseeing method transfers. This individual will be overseeing a team of 5, ranging from techs to the Principal Scientist. This is a highly visible role, the individual will be working closely with the product transfer lead to give updates on timelines and such. It would be beneficial if the candidate has experience with opening a lab before and has put systems & processes into place. The manager thought that someone who has worked in startup environments would have had exposure to this before. The manager would like to see candidates who have had a natural career progression, having worked as a bench scientist for the first 3-5 years and having spent the last 3 or so years in a supervisory position (7-10 years overall) Skills: • 7-10 years exp. (3-5 on the bench, then 3 as a lead or manager) • Cell based Assays • Has supported getting a lab GMP ready • Equipment qualification • Overseeing method transfers • Tech Transfer(Plus) Education: • Bachelors in Molecular Bio./Chemistry needed.
