Our Profile In 2020, G Mining Ventures (GMIN) was created to acquire direct ownership of projects and capitalize on the value uplift that successful mine development offers. In July 2024, GMIN acquired the Oko West project. The Oko West Project is a new gold discovery in northwest Guyana. It is located south of the historical “Oko” gold district, some 95 km west of Georgetown Pastry Baker The Pastry Baker is responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods, including pastries, bread, desserts, and specialty items, while maintaining high standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation. Key Responsibilities • Prepare and bake a wide range of bakery items, including breads, rolls, cakes, cookies, pastries, and specialty desserts. • Follow recipes and production schedules to ensure consistency and • Measure and mix ingredients accurately using scales, mixers, and other baking • Monitor baking process, including oven temperatures and baking times, to prevent overcooking or burning. • Decorate and finish baked goods with glazes, icings, and • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area, tools, and • Ensure all baked goods meet food safety and hygiene • Maintain inventory of baking ingredients and supplies; assist with stock rotation and • Experiment with and suggest new recipes, seasonal products, or menu • Work as part of a team and support other kitchen staff as needed. Qualifications/Skills and Experience • Proven experience as a Pastry Chef, Baker, or in a commercial kitchen environment • Knowledge of traditional and modern baking techniques • Ability to work efficiently in high-volume production settings • Strong understanding of food safety, kitchen hygiene, and allergen management • Excellent time management and ability to multitask Working Conditions Position based at the OKO Project site. Work Schedule – 14 days on/7 days Off Transport, accommodations, and meals provided on site. Compensation Package 1-year contract for the construction period, with the possibility of a permanent position once the mine is in operation.
