Description
At Rocketship Public Schools, we believe in the infinite possibility of human potential. We believe that every student deserves the right to dream, to discover, and to develop their unique potential and it is our responsibility and our privilege to unleash the potential inside every Rocketeer we serve. Our non-profit network of public elementary charter schools propels student achievement, develops exceptional educators, and partners with parents who enable high-quality public schools to thrive in their community. We are a collective of parents, teachers, leaders, and students working together to transform the future for underserved communities across our country. At Rocketship Public Schools, we are unleashing potential. The Occupational Therapy Assistant will work across multiple (2-3) Rocketship school sites under the supervision of the Occupational Therapist(s) serving those school sites and report to the Associate Director of Occupational Therapy. Rocketship’s Occupational Therapy Assistants are responsible for providing both direct and indirect support to students, families, and staff members in order to ensure high-quality programming for students, particularly those with disabilities. Under the supervision of Rocketship’s Occupational Therapist(s), the Occupational Therapy Assistant is responsible for implementing intervention plans and goals, providing support and guidance to students in areas such as fine motor skills, self-care, sensory processing, and self-regulation to support their development of skills related to daily living, academic achievement, and social participation. This role is expected to start in the 2026-2027 school year and supports our East Bay sites (Concord and Antioch) with regular, in-person presence at school sites.
