CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES This list of tasks is illustrative only and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by position. • Administers prescribed exercise interventions in accordance with the physical therapists' plan of care and carry out functional reeducation tasks in accordance with the physical therapists prescribed plan of care. • Monitor the patient’s response to prescribed physical therapy interventions. • Communicate patient’s progress in therapy through their documentation and during interdisciplinary team meetings. • Immediately inform the therapist of all adverse events to care and/or acute changes in the patient’s medical status and assist in communication with the physical therapist when an evaluative/progress note is required. Requirements ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Graduation from an accredited Occupational Therapist Assistant Program • Current Certified occupational Therapist Assistant license in Arizona • Current CPR certification. BENEFICIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE • Knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care which is age specific/appropriate for patients served. • Basic computer knowledge. • Appropriate interpersonal skills to enable positive interactions with patients/families, and other health care professionals.
