Posting Number: 0601301 Position Title: Nursing Tutor, RN FLSA: Non-Exempt Job Type: Part-Time Staff Term: Staff Work Schedule (hours/dates): 8 hours/week Academic Year Schedule (dates): 2026 - 2027 Faculty Term: Full Academic Year Position Type: Staff Department: Provost Job Summary/Basic Function: Coach and mentor students to facilitate their success in reaching their goals to become a nurse. Meet with students individually and in groups to support them as they clarify, review, and learn concepts taught in class and clinical experiences. This is a part time position with an average work schedule of 8-10 hours per week during the academic year. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor in Nursing with three or more years experience as a Registered Nurse in a clinical and/or educational setting. • Tutoring or teaching experience with excellent written communication skills. • The ability to communicate effectively with a diverse group of students. • The ability to effectively assist and assess student learning. • Willingness to work as a team member with staff, faculty, and students. • Excellent organizational skills, professional conduct, and reliability. Compensation and Benefits: To attract and retain the most talented individuals, Wheaton College maintains a flexible and competitive staff compensation and benefits program. When determining and establishing hiring rates or recruitment ranges for a position, the College considers a number of factors including the budget for the position, the range of the grade, the external market for the position or similar positions, level and scope of responsibilities, required education, skills and relevant experience as well as internal equity. All salary offers must have the prior approval of the Office of Human Resources. The starting hourly rate for this position is $30/hr.
