Description
We are seeking an enthusiastic and nurturing Nursery Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the LS13 area of Leeds from September 2026 . This full-time role offers a competitive daily rate of £160–£200 , depending on experience, and would suit both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) looking to begin their teaching journey within a supportive Early Years setting. The successful candidate will take responsibility for a Nursery class, delivering engaging and creative learning experiences that support children’s development and school readiness. The school is a friendly and inclusive primary setting with a strong reputation for its Early Years provision. Staff are passionate about creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to explore, develop confidence, and build a love of learning. The leadership team is supportive and committed to staff development, making this an excellent opportunity for teachers looking to grow their skills within a collaborative and welcoming school community. Key Responsibilities: • Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning activities in line with the EYFS framework. • Support children’s social, emotional, language, and early academic development. • Assess and monitor pupil progress, using observations to inform future learning. • Create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity and independence. Pre-requisites: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or due to achieve QTS by September 2026. • A strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development. • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. • A positive, creative, and child-centred approach to teaching and learning.
