The Opportunity
We're recruiting on behalf of a leading fresh produce manufacturer seeking a Night Shift Engineering Team Leader to oversee engineering operations on a large-scale production site.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineer ready to take the next step into leadership, or an established Team Leader looking for a highly visible role within a growing business. You'll lead a team of engineers, drive reliability, and ensure production equipment performs at its best throughout the night shift operation.
Key Responsibilities
• Leading and developing the engineering team on shift
• Prioritising planned and reactive maintenance activities
• Ensuring site equipment achieves maximum uptime and efficiency
• Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
• Managing shift handovers and engineering resource allocation
• Maintaining health and safety standards across the department
• Supporting root cause analysis and problem-solving activities
What You'll Need
• Engineering qualification (Electrical, Mechanical, or Multi-Skilled)
• Previous experience within food manufacturing, FMCG, or process environments
• Experience leading engineers or supervising maintenance activities
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of PPM systems and continuous improvement methodologies
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
