Description
An established tech company specializing in digital platforms is seeking a Senior Network Specialist to support and optimize their corporate infrastructure, including the WAN backbone, campus, and datacenter networks. This role involves managing network infrastructure, coordinating with external providers, leading technical projects, and responding to incidents. What You'll Do • Work regularly with ISPs, datacenter providers, and hardware vendors to support infrastructure operations • Lead technical execution of infrastructure projects and contribute to team projects (approximately 70% of time) • Collaborate with other infrastructure teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues • Manage MPLS backbone and Wi-Fi infrastructure across the network • Support firewall administration and enforce security policies • Plan and execute lifecycle upgrades for network equipment and systems • Establish peering at internet exchanges and optimize global BGP routing policies • Design and build new network segments as required • Lead incident response efforts through root cause analysis and technical remediation • Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support What You Need • Minimum 4+ years of experience in a similar network engineering role • Expert-level knowledge of BGP including inet, inet-vpn, inet6, and EVPN families • In-depth understanding of Juniper Junos OS (MX, EX, QFX, SRX platforms) • Network automation knowledge using Python, Ansible, or similar tools • Expert-level knowledge of EVPN-MPLS and EVPN-VXLAN technologies • Knowledge of VPN and tunnel technologies including IPSec and GRE • Experience working in multi-tenant environments such as service provider or data center settings • Advanced technical troubleshooting skills with ability to execute recovery during complex incidents • Experience with next-generation firewalls • Practical experience with 802.1x authentication and RADIUS server management • Experience with Linux server administration, BASH/Python scripting, and file system manipulation • Experience with Segment Routing (SR-MPLS) and Traffic Engineering (TE) Nice to Have • JNCIP/JNCIE or CCNP/CCIE certifications • Experience using Git for managing network configurations and automation scripts • Hands-on experience setting up and managing AWS Direct Connect or GCP Interconnect
