This 152-bed facility is a designated Level 4 trauma center, renowned for its excellence in both adult and pediatric trauma care. This role requires advanced clinical skills, sound judgment, and a compassionate approach to care. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes for neonatal patients and their families. Key Responsibilities Patient Assessment & Monitoring Conduct comprehensive evaluations of neonatal patients, monitor vital signs, and promptly report any changes in condition. Medication & Treatment Administration Administer prescribed medications and therapies with precision, ensuring safety and efficacy. Respiratory & Emergency Support Manage ventilator settings, oxygen therapy, and perform neonatal resuscitation and emergency interventions as needed. Procedural & Surgical Support Assist in neonatal procedures and surgeries, providing pre-, intra-, and post-operative care. Interdisciplinary Collaboration Partner with neonatologists, pediatricians, and allied health professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans. Family Education & Support Provide clear communication, emotional support, and education to families regarding their infant’s condition and care requirements. Documentation & Communication Maintain accurate and timely patient records to support continuity of care and team coordination. Equipment Management Operate and maintain specialized NICU equipment, ensuring functionality and safety. Discharge Planning & Follow-Up Facilitate smooth transitions from hospital to home, including post-discharge monitoring and parental guidance. Infection Control Compliance Adhere to strict infection prevention protocols to safeguard vulnerable neonatal patients. Developmental & Comfort Care Promote a nurturing environment that supports neonatal development and comfort. Professional Development Engage in ongoing education and contribute to unit-based quality improvement initiatives.
