JOIN A TEAM THAT IS PROTECTING WATER SOURCES THROUGH NATURE‑BASED SOLUTIONS Live & Learn Solomon Islands is seeking an NbS & Water Security Officer to support innovative, community‑led approaches that protect water sources and strengthen climate resilience through nature‑based solutions. YOU ARE IDEAL FOR THIS ROLE IF: • You hold a degree in Environmental Management, Environmental Science, Public Health, or a related discipline • You have 1–2 years of experience in WASH, environmental management, or water resources work • You understand Nature‑Based Solutions and traditional environmental knowledge • You have strong community facilitation and assessment skills • You are fluent in Pidgin and English WHAT THIS OPPORTUNITY WOULD MEAN TO YOU: • Work at the intersection of WASH, climate resilience, and environmental protection • Help communities safeguard water sources using NbS approaches • Strengthen traditional knowledge systems alongside modern practices • Contribute to regional climate resilience initiatives WHAT WOULD YOU DO ON A DAILY BASIS: In this role, you will support water security and NbS activities that protect natural water sources while improving community resilience. Key responsibilities include: Program Planning and Technical Support • Support design and implementation of NbS initiatives for water protection • Conduct assessments on water sources, ecosystems, and traditional practices • Provide technical guidance on water quality and environmental sustainability Capacity Building and Awareness • Facilitate community trainings and awareness campaigns on NbS • Promote traditional practices that support sustainable water management • Support ward‑level and community‑led NbS initiatives Monitoring, Reporting, and Compliance • Track water quality and NbS intervention outcomes • Prepare donor and internal reports • Support budgeting and procurement for NbS and WASH activities WHAT WE OFFER: • Competitive remuneration package • Opportunity to work in innovative climate and NbS programming • Professional development in water security and environmental management • A values‑driven organisation committed to community resilience HOW TO APPLY: Applications close at 4:00 pm on 24 April 2026.
