Job Summary:
A warm, creative and welcoming family is seeking an experienced and engaging Nanny to become part of their fully staffed household. Based primarily in Los Angeles, with extended periods spent in London each summer, this is a fantastic opportunity for a career nanny looking for an exciting international role.
The family has three children aged 3, 5 and 8 years old, with a new baby due in early 2027. This is a shared-care position, working alongside another experienced nanny and hands-on parents. While all of the children are cared for as a team, your primary focus will be the family’s 3-year-old and, following the birth, the newborn, while also providing support to the older siblings when required.
The family follows a gentle, respectful and child-led parenting philosophy and is looking for someone who shares these values. A knowledge of Waldorf principles or other holistic approaches to childcare would be highly advantageous. Responsibilities will include planning engaging, age-appropriate activities, supporting developmental milestones, establishing consistent routines, preparing healthy meals for the children, managing nursery duties and working collaboratively with the wider household team to ensure the children’s wellbeing and development remain the priority.
The successful candidate will enjoy working within a professional household, communicate effectively with parents and colleagues, and be flexible to travel and adapt to the family’s schedule. Visa sponsorship and relocation assistance are provided, making this an exceptional long-term opportunity for the right candidate.
Candidate Specification:
• Previous experience working as a professional nanny within a private household.
• Extensive experience caring for children from toddler age through to school age, with confident newborn experience.
• Confident working in a shared-care environment alongside parents, another nanny and household staff.
• Passionate about child-led, gentle and respectful parenting approaches.
• Knowledge or experience of Waldorf or other holistic childcare philosophies is highly desirable.
• Relevant childcare qualifications or training in child development, early years education or holistic education would be advantageous.
• Able to plan engaging, educational and age-appropriate activities that support children’s development.
• Experienced in establishing routines, supporting developmental milestones and preparing healthy meals for children.
• Calm, nurturing, organised and proactive, with excellent communication skills.
• Flexible to travel between Los Angeles and London and adapt to the family’s schedule.
• Happy to relocate to Los Angeles with visa sponsorship provided by the family.
• Looking for a long-term position with a warm and respectful family.
• Eligible to work in the USA or willing to relocate with visa sponsorship, with excellent checkable references.
