Job Title: Art & Music Teacher Campus: SVK Campus Report to: Head of Campus PBIS is totally committed to safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and expects the same from its employees. PURPOSE OF ROLE: The Music Teacher is responsible for delivering engaging, creative, and developmentally appropriate  Music lessons that inspire students’ creativity, self-expression, and appreciation of the arts. The role supports the school’s holistic education approach and international learning environment. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Teaching & Learning • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality Music lessons aligned with the school curriculum and international standards. • Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages creativity and student participation. • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students, including EAL learners and students with varying abilities. • Integrate music, visual arts, movement, and performance into lessons where appropriate. Curriculum & Assessment • Develop lesson plans, schemes of work, and learning materials for Music. • Assess, record, and report on students’ progress in line with school assessment policies. • Provide constructive feedback to students to support their artistic and musical development. • Support school performances, exhibitions, concerts, and cultural events. Classroom & Resource Management • Maintain a safe, organized, and well-managed learning environment. • Properly use and care for art materials, musical instruments, and classroom resources. • Follow health and safety guidelines during practical activities. Collaboration & School Life • Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and specialist staff to support cross-curricular learning. • Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and participation. • Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events. • Contribute positively to the school’s international and multicultural community. EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION: • Bachelor’s degree in Art, Music, Education, or a related field. • Recognized teaching qualification (preferred). • Previous experience teaching Art and/or Music, preferably in an international or bilingual school. • Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies.
