The Role We’re looking for an experienced Production Support Engineer to join our busy Engineering team at Barfoots. Engineering plays a vital role in keeping our production operation running safely, efficiently and reliably. Working closely with Production, you’ll help maximise equipment uptime through a combination of planned, preventative and reactive maintenance, while identifying opportunities to improve plant performance. With either a mechanical or electrical bias, you’ll be confident diagnosing faults, responding to machinery breakdowns and carrying out root cause analysis within a fast-paced FMCG or manufacturing environment. You’ll also play an active role in continuous improvement, helping us increase efficiency, reduce downtime and improve energy and cost performance across the site. Shift pattern: 4 days on, 4 days off | 6am–6pm Key Responsibilities Carry out mechanical and electrical maintenance across production equipment Respond quickly and safely to machinery breakdowns Diagnose faults and complete effective root cause analysis Maximise equipment uptime, reliability and availability Complete and continuously improve planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules Support both reactive and proactive maintenance activities Maintain accurate records of work completed and spare parts used Ensure equipment is maintained to high safety, hygiene and operational standards Contribute to continuous improvement projects across the site
