ABOUT US Famous for introducing cocktail bar culture to Paris in 2007, Experimental redefined hospitality with innovative cocktail bars and boutique hotels across Europe and beyond. Over the years, destinations have expanded from major European capitals such as Rome, Paris, and London to more seasonal locations like Comporta, Ibiza, or Menorca in the summer, and the ski resorts of Verbier and Val d’Isère in the winter. The group also operates venues in Porto, Venice, New York, Biarritz, and the Cotswolds. Each of our unique destinations blends design, creativity, and exceptional service, with exciting new openings on the horizon. We are looking for a Multi-Site Maintenance Engineer to oversee maintenance operations across our two hotels in Portugal: Quinta da Comporta and Hotel Infante Sagres Porto. ABOUT THE JOB Reporting to the Operations Team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation, safety, and upkeep of both hotels. Through effective preventive and corrective maintenance programs, you will help maintain the highest standards of comfort, safety, and guest experience. The position is based in Porto, with regular presence required in Comporta (2 to 3 days per week depending on operational needs and seasonality). Accommodation will be provided when based in Comporta. Annual gross salary: €40,000 to €55,000, depending on experience. Key Responsibilities : Technical Operations Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of equipment, systems, and hotel infrastructure. Monitor and maintain key technical installations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, water treatment, and pool systems. Ensure both hotels remain in excellent condition for guests and employees. Respond efficiently to maintenance requests and technical issues. Maintenance Team Management Manage and supervise Maintenance team members across both properties. Organise team schedules and ensure optimal planning of maintenance shifts and coverage. Develop and follow action plans to improve efficiency, responsiveness, and operational performance. Monitor team performance and ensure alignment with operational standards. Escalate HR-related issues to the HR department when necessary. Maintenance Planning & Compliance Develop and follow preventive maintenance schedules. Maintain accurate maintenance records and technical documentation. Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Promote sustainable and energy-efficient maintenance practices. Projects & Supplier Management Coordinate and supervise external contractors and maintenance suppliers. Support renovation projects and technical improvements. Monitor maintenance-related costs and contribute to budget control. Ensure all maintenance and technical works are completed to the highest standards. Collaboration & Guest Experience Work closely with all hotel departments to identify and address maintenance needs. Provide a safe and comfortable environment for guests and employees. Contribute to delivering exceptional guest experiences through excellent hotel maintenance and operational support. ABOUT YOU Degree or technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role. Strong knowledge of building maintenance, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other technical hotel systems. Experience within hospitality and luxury hotels is highly desirable. Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proactive, hands-on, and solution-oriented mindset.
