MuleSoft Architect & Team Lead
Position Summary
The MuleSoft Architect & Team Lead will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, securing, and optimizing MuleSoft Anypoint Platform solutions across a complex integration environment. This role will focus on building scalable integrations between Salesforce and enterprise systems, supporting API-based connectivity, secure file transfers, and reliable data exchange processes.
This is a hands-on technical leadership role responsible for defining integration strategy, establishing best practices, supporting platform governance, and providing technical direction to MuleSoft engineers. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MuleSoft architecture, Salesforce integrations, API management, and enterprise integration patterns. Position Responsibilities
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
• Lead and collaborate with distributed development teams, including offshore engineering resources and internal stakeholders
• Define integration architecture, technical standards, and long-term MuleSoft platform roadmap
• Design, develop, and support MuleSoft integrations utilizing APIs, sFTP, EDI, RPA, and other enterprise integration patterns
• Lead quality assurance efforts, lifecycle testing, deployment processes, and CI/CD implementation
• Manage MuleSoft Anypoint Platform administration, configuration, monitoring, and optimization
• Establish and maintain integration governance, security standards, and operational best practices
• Configure and support Salesforce integrations, including Connected Apps, OAuth settings, Named Credentials, and API configurations
• Manage security components including certificates, secrets, access controls, and environment configurations
• Oversee secure file transfer processes, including sFTP endpoints, user access, SSH keys, and folder-level permissions
• Implement and maintain automation, monitoring, error handling, retention, and archival processes
• Troubleshoot integration issues involving authentication, connectivity, performance, API limits, and data exchange failures
• Perform root cause analysis and implement solutions to improve reliability and scalability
• Develop and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, runbooks, and integration standards
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable integration solutions
Required Skills & Experience
• 4+ years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform administration and development
• Strong experience designing and supporting Salesforce integrations
• Experience with API design, security, authentication, and management
• Practical experience managing secure file transfers, including sFTP, SSH keys, and access controls
• Strong understanding of cloud networking concepts including VPCs, VPNs, routing, and firewall configurations
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern deployment practices
• Experience with MuleSoft runtime operations, monitoring, and troubleshooting
• Knowledge of integration governance, documentation, and enterprise architecture best practices
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical issues
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and business teams
Preferred Skills & Experience
• MuleSoft Platform Architect or MuleSoft Administrator certification
• Salesforce Administrator or Platform App Builder certification
• Experience with Databricks, dbt, or modern data platforms
• Experience leading or mentoring MuleSoft engineering teams
