Field-Based / Mobile (On-Site at Customer Locations)
This is NOT remote or hybrid. Work is performed primarily at customer locations using a company service vehicle.
🚀 About the Role
OTC Fleet Services is hiring a Mobile Diesel Technician to support our growing fleet customer base across Lancaster, York, and Berks County.
This role is focused on consistent fleet work — not random retail jobs. You’ll be working independently in the field, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of commercial vehicles and equipment.
You will report directly to our Field Operations Manager (Joe) and be part of a structured, fast-growing mobile service division.

🛠️ What You’ll Be Doing
Diagnose and repair (including but not limited to):
• Diesel, gas, and LP-powered vehicles
• Medium & heavy-duty trucks (including Class 8)
• Equipment and fleet vehicles (including 6–48 volt systems)
Perform:
• Preventative maintenance (PMs)
• Advanced diagnostics (electrical REQUIRED)
• Hydraulic repairs
• Breakdown and roadside service
• Complete work orders using company-provided tablet/software (Fullbay)
• Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and work environment
• Deliver high-quality, efficient work for fleet customers
⏱️ Schedule & Workload
• Average 8–10 hour workdays
• 45–50+ hours/week available based on productivity
• Overtime available
• Primarily day shift
• No second or third shift
• Minimal on-call (rare and limited)
💰 Compensation
• $30–$40/hour (based on experience)
• Overtime available
• Additional pay bumps for:
• CDL
• State Inspection License
• Snow equipment experience
🎯 What We’re Looking For
• Strong diagnostic ability (this is not an entry-level role)
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (REQUIRED)
• Ability to work independently and self-manage
• Comfortable working in mobile/on-site environments
• Takes pride in quality work and productivity
• Maintains a clean and organized service truck
✅ Requirements
• 5+ years experience as a technician
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Ability to pass DOT physical
• Must provide own hand tools
• Strong experience with diesel, gas, and/or equipment repair
• State Inspection License (preferred or required based on role)
➕ Preferred (Not Required)
• CDL (pay increase available)
• Welding / fabrication experience
• Experience with heavy equipment or hydraulic systems
