Description
Our client, a leading academic medical center, is seeking a professional to drive their mobile strategy forward. This role focuses on building performant applications that bridge complex ERP backends with end-users to enhance operational efficiency within the organization. • Develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and the Android Jetpack ecosystem. • Translate functional requirements into technical solutions with a focus on MVVM and Clean Architecture . • Integrate mobile applications with backend systems and implement monitoring through Firebase . • Manage the end-to-end project lifecycle from initial analysis and development to final release and user guidance. • Monitor mobile trends and contribute to the long-term evolution of the mobile architecture and UI/UX design. • Collaborate with the development team to ensure seamless alignment between mobile apps and the broader application landscape. • 8+ years of experience with Android SDK and Kotlin , including Coroutines and Flow . • 5+ years of software architecture expertise using MVVM , Clean Architecture , and Dependency Injection frameworks such as Koin . • 5+ years working with Firebase services including Crashlytics , Cloud Messaging , Analytics , and Firestore . • 3+ years of experience integrating REST APIs using Retrofit or OkHttp . • Proficiency in modern UI development with Jetpack Compose . • Knowledge of local data storage using Room . • Possess a Master’s degree in IT or equivalent professional experience. • Proactive team player with a strong focus on knowledge sharing. • You are fluent in Dutch and English . Nice to Haves • Experience with the Ktor client. • Willingness to learn SQL Server and ERP-specific backend environments. • Interest in expanding skills toward iOS development with Swift or cross-platform frameworks like Flutter , React Native , or Kotlin Multiplatform (KMP) . • Start date: ASAP • Duration: 5 months (until 31/12/2026) • Work regime: Full-time • Location: Leuven • Working model: Hybrid • Contract: open to both permanent employees and freelancers
