Role: Mobile Core Network Ops Engineer (4G/5G) Location: Singapore We are partnering with a leading organisation to hire a Mobile Core Network Ops Engineer (4G/5G) to support critical telecom infrastructure and ensure seamless network operations. About the Role You will be responsible for the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of 4G/5G core network systems, ensuring high service availability and performance, including support for international roaming services. Key Responsibilities - Manage and support 4G/5G Mobile Core nodes (e.g., IMS, HSS, UDM, SBC, MSS, etc.) to ensure smooth network operations - Perform system maintenance, including patching, upgrades, and performance optimisation - Monitor network performance, KPIs, and alarms to maintain service quality - Troubleshoot and resolve end-to-end network issues across core systems - Collaborate with local providers and international roaming partners for testing and service assurance - Implement security hardening and vulnerability management to mitigate risks - Develop and maintain operational processes and documentation Requirements - Degree in Electronics, Communications, Networking, or related field - Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the Telco industry - Strong knowledge of 4G/5G core networks and call flows - Familiarity with protocols such as IMS, VoLTE, SS7, Diameter, SIP, SCTP - Hands-on experience in network troubleshooting (end-to-end) - Exposure to VoLTE roaming and IREG testing - Understanding of network and application security - Knowledge of IP networking (switching & routing) - Experience working with Linux and virtualised environments - Basic scripting/programming skills (e.g., Python, Shell)
