Welcome to the West Glenville Reformed Church’s profile . We are seeking a full-time pastor of word and sacrament. Located in the hills of West Glenville, our church is well over 200 years old and has a long tradition of being a beacon of Christ to our village and beyond. Our church members are village residents as well as those who come from distances to worship together. This gives us a great combination of congregants. God has blessed us with beautiful grounds which include our church building as well as a gazebo, a picnic pavilion, a playground and an amphitheater. We are a gathering place for the community every day of the week! Our Christ-centered nursery school is alive and well even in these times of universal Pre-K, which serves as testament to our wonderful teachers (who are church members), the space allocated to this outreach and a curriculum welcomed by the families. West Glenville is a mission-centered congregation. We have numerous outreach programs available to members to participate in throughout the year, with 3-4 usually being active at any given time. We support those close to home (our local food pantry, fire department and cemetery association) and far away (Samaritan Purse’s Operation Christmas Child and a Christian school in Liberia). In addition, we support various programs around the state (City Mission of Schenectady, Bottles for Bales, Camp Fowler to name a few). Our newest mission program, which is a little over a year old, is our Baskets of Love outreach. Each month the team prepares scratch meals for various folks in need or simply because.
