Description
Fine Gold Resources  is a precious metals mining company operating in the Yukon. We operate on a seasonal basis from March to October and are looking to hire a seasonal Mine Haul Truck Operator,  to be based outside of Dawson City, Yukon. We provide accommodation and meals at our on-site camp and offer a highly competitive compensation package. The mine operates 24/7 with two shifts each day - a day shift and a night shift - with a rotation schedule. During their time off employees may stay on-site at the camp or venture to Dawson City for some time away. For candidates local to the Dawson City area, we are open to considering an onsite / offsite working schedule. Job Duties: • Ensure safe work operations and full compliance to operating procedures. • Do pre-& post inspection check-up of the equipment and write/keep equipment log. • Report any defect found on equipment. • Report all equipment repairs and maintenance requests to the Lead. • Responsible for and/or assists in fueling and filling all the fluids in the equipment to the right level. • Assist in the maintenance works of the equipment. • Operate loading and unloading equipment as required. • Navigate to work sites and adapt to daily changes in site scope of work. • Maintain tidiness in the equipment. • Promote safety culture and adhere to HSE policies. • Prepare and submit the necessary required daily reports as directed. • Perform other functions as maybe directed from time to time. Qualifications: • 2–5 years of off-highway experience operating heavy trucks, including rigid frame, wiggle wagon, float/lowbed, or similar truck-trailer configurations. • Experience operating other heavy-duty equipment is an asset. • Valid Class 1 Driver's License • Acceptable driver’s abstract. • Ability to work day and night shifts. • Ability to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening. • Solid communication skills and ability to work in a team setting and alone as required.
