Description
Newstaff Employment Services is seeking a skilled and reliable MIG Welder to join our team in Hitchin. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MIG welding and be capable of working to high standards on a variety of metal fabrication projects. Key Responsibilities Perform MIG welding tasks to fabricate, join, and repair metal components according to specifications. Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints accurately. Ensure welds meet quality and safety standards. Carry out inspections and quality control on completed welds. Maintain and operate welding equipment safely and effectively. Work collaboratively with the production team to meet deadlines and production targets. Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies. Requirements Proven experience as a MIG Welder. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Good understanding of welding safety procedures. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Relevant welding certifications or qualifications are advantageous. Physical fitness and the ability to handle the demands of the role. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
