Amidel is an Information Technology and Business Consulting Company that provides highly specialised solutions to large and small enterprises in both the private and public sectors. We are seeking a highly motivated Middle Office Specialist  to join our growing team. You will play a crucial role, assisting our clients in various aspects of trade life cycle events, ensuring accurate product valuation, and contributing to the resolution of Profit and Loss discrepancies. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and a solid understanding of financial instruments and market dynamics. Job family:  Trade Support, Risk Management, Compliance Minimum Experience: • 1 to 5 years in a relevant financial services role. Education Requirements: • Bachelor's or Post-Graduate degree in Maths, Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, Investment, Risk Management, Portfolio Management, or Mathematical Sciences. • Qualification in FRM/CFA is an added advantage. Contract Type: • Permanent or Contract Term Responsibilities Responsibilities differ across client engagements but may include: • Assist in performing trade life cycle events throughout the trade life cycle. • Remediate Profit and Loss discrepancies and find permanent solutions to recurring issues. • Participate in new product approval processes, ensuring correct valuation and availability of appropriate market data. • Ensure accurate valuation of all products. • Analyze data from trading systems for valuation, risk, and profit & loss perspectives for various teams. • Participate in new market data creation, mapping, testing, and sign-off. • Contribute to benchmark reform projects by creating new market data and mapping it appropriately to products. • Build controls around all key processes. Qualifications and Competencies • Strong analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail. • Control mindset with a focus on process improvement. • Understanding of deal flow processes and the rationale behind procedures. • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to challenge current thinking and provide solutions. • Effective team player with excellent communication skills. • Business acumen and market awareness. • Client service driven with good interpersonal skills and ability to communicate and work at all levels, including a range of demanding personalities, in unstructured environments. • Knowledge of financial instruments or products, including valuations, inputs, and drivers. • Familiarity with concepts such as XVA’s, MultiCurve bootstrapping and CSA Aware Discounting is a distinct advantage.
