Job Description: Job Overview TE Connectivity's Product Management Teams manage all aspects of a product, from driving new product development to manufacturing to marketing. They are responsible for overall product strategy, business leadership and capacity plans in order to meet sales and profit targets. We’re hiring a Product Management Manager for TE JASEAN team, reporting to Senior Manager, PM Asia-Pacific. This role will be based in TE Japan, responsible for E-mobility product management in JASEAN, also closely work with other regions and other key function team such as sales, engineering, operation. Responsibilities: • Managing team: Lead team work as well as talent development (30%) • Manage month-end and year end evaluate processes • Manage product management team, set objectives and monitor progress • Train and coach team members and monitor their performance • Identify knowledge gaps within the team and develop plans for filling them • Product Innovation: Drive product development & evolution to build / maintain market leadership with (30%): • Proactive market trend analysis, close customer communication to define target product • Competitor benchmark to understand product strength for GTM also improvement points for new product development • Prioritization with cross-function alignment & Lead to get resource needed • Coordinate internal team and resource to drive project launch and execution from front • Margin Improvement: Manage product margin to achieve target level / keep at healthy level (20%) • Drive product cost reduction through close collaboration with operation / procurement / engineering team • Control Price erosion / price increase with sales & pricing team • Manage other related items such as product mix, Mfg source optimization • Other supporting task: Support AP PM team for other tasks such as (20%): • Cross-country project coordination • KPI target setting & progress track • Regional / Global best practice sharing • 20 – 30% of travel required What your background should look like: • 5+ years of product management or sale, program management, engineering experience • 5+ years Automotive industry experience needed, e-mobility related experience are preferred • Strong communication skills needed with cross-function team • Pro-active and fast speed of learning skill • Presentation/excel/data analysis skill needed • Fluent English/Japanese are mandatory, other language such as Chinese would-be good plus Competencies Motivating Others Building Effective Teams Managing and Measuring Work Values: Integrity, Accountability, Inclusion, Innovation, Teamwork SET : Strategy, Execution, Talent (for managers) Job Locations: 3-5-8 HISAMOTO KAWASAKI-SHI KANAGAWA, Kanagawa 213 Japan Posting City: KAWASAKI-SHI KANAGAWA Job Country: Japan Travel Required: 25% to 50% Requisition ID: 145574 Workplace Type: Onsite External Careers Page: Sales & Marketing Apply now Apply Now Start apply with LinkedIn Please wait...
