School Year AmeriCorps Full Time Position Details *Documents needed to enroll: Government Issued Photo ID, Signed Social Security Card, US Birth Certificate or another form of Proof of Citizenship. No credentials required, only the desire to learning, work with a team, and serve the community and children of the families participating in the programs in collaboration with Mercer County Housing Authority. AmeriCorps Responsibilities: (in addition to host site service) • Plan and implement service-learning projects for students at host sites or in communities • Attend monthly member meetings • Complete virtual training to amplify service abilities • Participate in National Service Days and planned events • Create a service portfolio and track and report service outcomes • Serve as an ambassador in your neighborhood and community • Participate in a virtual pre-service training   prior to serving at assigned host site Service Site Location: Sharpsville, PA - Sharpsville Gardens Learning Center Tentative Schedule:  11 am - 5pm, Monday - Friday Position will include activities prepared and implemented with a team member in STEM and assistance with social behavioral development with children's 3-5 years of age with the implementation of STEM-Homework Help Tuesday-Thursday with elementary children in the Sharpsville community. Living Allowance Paid Bi-Monthly 900 Hour Time - $1,860.00 gross monthly Term Education Award: $3,697.50 • Additionally, loan forbearance (pause in loan payments) while serving in AmeriCorps • Accrued interest while serving as an AmeriCorps member paid by AmeriCorps program • Education Award Earned when term is successfully completed • If you are 55 years of age or older, the education award can be transferred to child, grandchild, or foster child Other Benefits Include: • Health Care Coverage Available (if eligibility requirements are met) • Child Care (if eligibility requirements are met) • Hands-on experience • CPR/First Aid Certification • Portfolio development • A lifetime of service family and friends!
