WORK SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Full-Time, Exempt COMPENSATION: The hiring range for this position is $70,000–$90,000, with the opportunity to earn additional compensation through bonuses; candidates may also choose between a base salary structure or a variable compensation plan (commission), which may provide higher earning potential Company Overview: Founded in 2018, Vitae is a growing multi-specialty provider group dedicated to delivering high-quality care to residents in skilled nursing and long-term care communities. Position Summary Vitae Health is seeking a qualified Psychotherapist to provide mental health services to residents in a skilled nursing facility. The Psychotherapist will assess, diagnose, and treat emotional and behavioral conditions, supporting residents’ overall well-being and adjustment to medical and life changes. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for residents upon admission and as needed Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans Provide individual, group, and/or family therapy sessions Address issues such as depression, anxiety, grief, cognitive decline, and adjustment to illness or disability Support residents coping with chronic illness, pain, loss of independence, and end-of-life concerns Collaborate with the Vitae clinical team, the patient’s attending physician, facility nursing staff, social workers, and rehabilitation teams to coordinate care Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations Provide crisis intervention and behavioral management strategies when needed Educate staff and families on mental health conditions and effective communication strategies Ensure compliance with HIPAA and ethical standards of practice
