Role Overview Advance AI systems that support healthcare, clinical, and biomedical workflows by building rigorous evaluation frameworks, benchmarks, and validation protocols. This Member of Technical Staff, Medical Research role focuses on measuring medical reasoning, evidence synthesis, and clinical decision support to improve the reliability and safety of healthcare-focused AI. Key Responsibilities • Design and own evaluation frameworks for AI systems in healthcare, including benchmarks, scoring methodologies, clinical quality rubrics, and validation protocols. • Conduct applied research on medical reasoning, evidence based decision making, clinical workflows, and healthcare information synthesis. • Develop benchmark datasets and realistic evaluation environments based on real world healthcare and biomedical scenarios. • Collaborate with researchers, clinicians, and engineers to evaluate and improve healthcare focused AI systems. • Analyze performance, safety considerations, reasoning quality, and failure patterns in medical use cases. • Produce research reports, evaluation methodologies, and best practice guidelines. • Monitor advances in medicine, healthcare delivery, biomedical research, and AI, and contribute to industry standards for healthcare AI evaluation and reliability. Required Qualifications • Advanced degree in Medicine, Public Health, Nursing, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, Epidemiology, Health Economics, or a related healthcare field, for example MD, DO, PhD, MPH, PharmD. • Deep expertise in clinical practice, healthcare operations, biomedical research, public health, healthcare analytics, or evidence based medicine. • Demonstrated experience conducting medical, clinical, or healthcare research. • Strong understanding of research design, evidence evaluation, and healthcare decision making processes. • Exceptional analytical reasoning and scientific communication skills. • Experience working in multidisciplinary environments that include research, healthcare, technology, or policy stakeholders. • Required skills: Medical and Health Research, Enterprise AI Benchmarking, Agentic Medical Workflows. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with digital health, clinical decision support systems, healthcare analytics, or health technology assessment. • Familiarity with healthcare quality measurement, clinical guidelines, evidence synthesis, or healthcare benchmarking. • Published research in medical, clinical, healthcare, or biomedical fields. • Experience participating in clinical studies, systematic reviews, or healthcare evaluation initiatives. Work Terms • Employment type: Full time. • Location: Remote. • Standard full time commitment, as expected for a salaried research role. Compensation • Advertised total compensation range: $400, 000 to $800, 000 per year. • National base salary range posted for this role: $200, 000 to $250, 000. • All employees are eligible for equity compensation, and employees may also receive performance based bonuses, dependent on role and subject to company policies. • Benefits include a comprehensive package, with up to 100% reimbursement for health insurance premiums, paid time off, and a 401(k) offering.
