June 2, 2026 NORTH WELLINGTON HEALTH CARE PALMERSTON & DISTRICT HOSPITAL POSTING #2026-125 MEDICAL RADIATION TECHNOLOGIST – MAGNETIC RESONANCE (MRT(MR)) (TEMPORARY PART TIME) One (1) temporary part time Medical Radiation Technologist - Magnetic Resonance (MRT(MR)) position is available at Palmerston & District Hospital. This position is unionized with OPSEU. IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL: • Use your Magnetic Resonance Imaging knowledge and skill to bring utmost quality care to all patients • Be a part of the Wellington Health Care Alliance's mission -  Together, elevating quality to achieve excellent care, empowering all to thrive on our journey of wellness. • Abide by the five core values at WHCA - Teamwork, Respect, Accountability, Compassion, Kindness • Have a chance to showcase your mentorship skills for students attending school placements at our hospital who are on their health care profession journey BENEFITS OF WORKING WITH US: • Join a close-knit team • Free parking at all of our three WHCA hospital sites! • Staff wellness initiatives • Health Care of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP) • Employee & Family Assistance Program (EFAP) REQUIREMENTS: • Diploma (Degree) in Magnetic Resonance Imaging from an accredited institution • Registration with the CMR I TO as an MRI Technologist required • MRT plus MRI certification  required • Registration with CAMRT  - preferred • MR safety officer certific ation required • Current BCLS • Must be IV certified • Demonstrated understanding of all applicable regulatory standards and legislation • Demonstrated critical thinking, problem solving, decision making, and organizational skills • Demonstrated a bility to work both independently and collaboratively with many and varied internal and external individuals, groups, and agencies • Demonstrated effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills • Thorough knowledge of the practice of MRI procedures and quality assurance • Experience providing safety training and ensuring adherence to safety procedures and standards • Experience with overseeing and troubleshooting scanner and peripheral equipment • Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities • Ability to work professionally and accurately under stressful conditions • Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position • Other duties as  required ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: • Satisfactory performance and attendance required • Satisfactory Reference Checks required prior to start date • Must provide a Police Vulnerable Sector Check • Must complete a Pre-Employment Health Assessment prior to being hired HOURS OF WORK: • As per department schedule • Must be available for all shifts SALARY: $36.84 to $51.77 per hour Interested applicants please submit your cover letter and resume on BambooHR at the following link:  https://whca.bamboohr.com/jobs/ INTERNAL  applicants please apply with your work email address.
