Job Description:
• Recognize and treat common medical problems using appropriate standard treatment guidelines
• Assist CMO with maintaining medical consultation clinics.
• Coordinate all specific disease clinical consultation programmes and activities including TB DOTS, HIV/STI/VCT/ART, Maternal and Child Health and Family Planning clinics.
• Assist with routine clinical care of inpatients in the clini
• Perform minor surgical and medical therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
• Organise and coordinate referrals for patient that require further treatment outside of Ramu.
• Participate in continuing medical education activities for the staff
• Assist CMO with administration activities when required
• Respond to medical emergencies in a timely manner when required.
• Be able to recognize and treat any life threatening problems early.
• Has adequate knowledge of Basic Life support and advance life support protocols.
• Be able to attend to labouring mothers and their babies initiate appropriate treatment..
• Competent with standard initial resuscitation and stabilization protocols.
• Recognise and appropriately treat various injuries from various causes.
