Description Medical Assistant – University Urogynecology Full-Time | Knoxville, TN Join a Team That Makes a Difference in Women's Health University Physicians' Association (UPA) is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our University Urogynecology team in Knoxville, Tennessee. In this role, you'll work closely with physicians and fellow healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional care and create a positive experience for every patient. What You'll Do Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Assist physicians with direct patient care and clinical procedures • Coordinate patient scheduling and appointment management • Obtain prior authorizations and pre-certifications for imaging studies, including MRIs and CT scans • Communicate test results and follow-up information to patients • Perform phlebotomy and other clinical support duties • Accurately document and process physician orders • Build positive, professional relationships with patients, families, providers, and staff • Help ensure a seamless and efficient patient experience from check-in to follow-up care What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will possess: • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy • The ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a busy clinical environment • A patient-first mindset and commitment to outstanding customer service Why Join UPA? Requirements What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will possess: • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy • The ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a busy clinical environment • A patient-first mindset and commitment to outstanding customer service Qualifications • Medical Assistant certification or current LPN license required • 6 months to 1 year of medical office or clinical experience required • Women's Health or Gynecology experience preferred
