Salary: £45,000 + Excellent Overtime Opportunities
An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Mechanical Shift Engineer to join a leading facilities management company on a prestigious healthcare contract.
Working a continental 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (7am–7pm / 7pm–7am) , you'll be responsible for planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs and fault finding across a busy healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPMs), reactive maintenance and fault finding
• Maintaining and repairing plant room equipment, pumps, valves, motors and pipework
• Servicing and maintaining chillers, HVAC systems, AHUs, FCUs and associated mechanical assets
• Replacing bearings, seals, belts, motors and carrying out valve changes
• Monitoring and maintaining BMS-controlled mechanical systems
• Diagnosing equipment faults and carrying out mechanical repairs to minimise downtime
• Ensuring all statutory compliance checks and maintenance records are completed accurately
What we're looking for:
• NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Strong mechanical maintenance experience
• Good knowledge of HVAC systems
• Plumbing experience will also be considered if you're mechanically strong
• Previous experience within a healthcare or NHS environment is desirable
