Egis is looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to complement our Maintenance team in Sydney looking after Transurban’s Sydney Southern Network. This will include the motorway and tunnel environment covering the Eastern Distributor, Cross City Tunnel, M5 East, M5 South-West, M4 West, M4 East, M8, M4–M5 Link and Rozelle Interchange. Reporting to the Engineering Manager for the Project, this position will: • provide practical, on-site Mechanical Engineering assistance to maintenance teams for complex defects, non-routine repairs and high-risk work activities • be able to validate defect symptoms and constraints in the field and develop fit-for-purpose solutions • support planning of work methods, hold points and acceptance criteria to ensure safe return-to-service and compliant outcomes. Candidates able to interpret and communicate information of a complex nature into practical field actions within a live operational environment with changing constraints are encouraged to apply. Required Experience, Skills and Qualifications • Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) or relevant recognised equivalent • 3-5 years relevant professional experience in similar role • White Card • Australian C Class (or above) Drivers Licence • Right to Work in Australia • Drive and enthusiasm to be part of one of the biggest infrastructure projects in NSW • A strong work ethic • Problem solving / strong customer results orientation • Understanding and commitment to occupational health and safety requirements and the environment • Experience/willingness to work flexible hours to support night works, closures, incidents or critical activities. Highly desirable: • Demonstrated industrial and/or roadways maintenance experience Additional Information: This is a great opportunity to join a global infrastructure business and contribute to the performance, resilience and long-term value of one of Sydney’s most critical transport networks.
