Job Description Summary As a Mechanical, Ergonomic & UI Design Leader (f/m/d) in the Women’s Health Ultrasound segment, you will lead an engineering team responsible for the development of the industrial design of our ultrasound console. In this role, you will define and drive the technology vision and strategy for mechanical design including ergonomic design and user interface design, aligning with global GE HealthCare platform initiatives. As a team leader, you will guide technology projects throughout the entire product lifecycle - from early research and concept phases through product development to product maintenance. Job Description Responsibilities • Lead, develop, and grow the Mechanical & Ergonomic Design engineering team, including project prioritization, resource planning, and budget responsibility • Define and drive the technology vision and strategy for industrial design of the whole ultrasound console including user interface and ergonomic design • Ensure strong cross-functional collaboration during new product integrations • Drive and align cross-segment platform initiatives across GE HealthCare • Foster a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement • Mentor engineers and support the development of future technical experts • Drive strong collaboration with product management • Ensure on-time fulfillment of CTQs across all product developments, including performance, reliability, and ICV targets • Ensure successful completion of product milestone deliverables, including manufacturing transfer, test development, and field feedback analysis Qualifications • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, or another relevant technical discipline • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Experience in technical project management • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across global and cross-functional teams • High level of motivation and commitment in an international organization • Fluent written and spoken German and English Desired Qualifications • Experience in technical leadership within complex, cross-functional engineering environments Inclusion and Diversity GE HealthCare is an Equal Opportunity Employer where inclusion matters.
