Founded in 2025, Omnisent is a Munich-based defense technology company developing fully autonomous, Counter-UAS system. We are a small, high-output team from Cambridge, Imperial College, MIT, and BCG united by a mission to redefine modern airspace security. Aufgaben We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop the mechanical systems behind OmniDome's sensors, interceptors, and enclosures – from concept through field-ready hardware. • Design mechanical structures and enclosures for sensors, interceptors, and other hardware components • Develop and iterate on CAD models and technical drawings for new and existing hardware • Select materials and manufacturing processes suited for field-deployed, weather-resistant hardware • Design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA), working closely with production and procurement • Support prototyping, testing, and iteration based on flight test and field deployment feedback • Collaborate closely with electronics, RF, and flight test engineers to integrate mechanical designs into full systems Qualifikation • Strong background in mechanical design and CAD (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Onshape) • Experience designing for manufacturability and for rugged, field-deployable hardware • Understanding of materials selection for outdoor and weatherproof applications • Comfortable working across the full hardware lifecycle, from concept to production • EU work authorization Bonus: • Experience with drone, robotics, or aerospace mechanical design • Experience with environmental hardening (IP-rating, MIL-STD-810, etc.) • Background in defense or other high-reliability hardware industries Benefits • Competitive Compensation: Highly competitive cash comp, along with virtual stock options, that reflect your experience and the value you bring • Accelerated Learning & Growth: Join a fast-paced environment where you'll take on real responsibility, overcome meaningful challenges, and grow alongside a driven team • Make a Real Impact: Play a key role in shaping Omnisent's journey and contribute directly to the success of the company _In your cover letter, we'd love to hear about your personal interests, what drives you, why this role feels like the right fit, and most importantly, why Omnisent._
