Mechanical/Electrical Fitter We are looking for an experienced Panel Wirer/ Fitter to join Operations team in an established family-owned business in Leeds. Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier of electrical power distribution equipment and pioneers of super low loss amorphous transformer technology. The Role • Your core duties will be the fitting of various types of distribution and power transformers • You will prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools and materials. • You will assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies • You will be expected to maintain the highest level of workmanship standards and product quality ensuring products are produced and delivered OTIF to the customers’ requirements. • You will check and complete all paperwork associated with the works order • Performance of area housekeeping activities, including the prompt reporting of problems, shortages or equipment breakdown • Using general workshop machinery and hand tools related to the fitting role • Quality inspection of colleague’s output Skills, Knowledge & Experience: • Hands on experience of working within a mechanical/electrical engineering environment is essential. • The ability to understand mechanical and schematic drawings. • Mechanical or electrical qualification desirable • Ideally apprentice trained • Have good written and verbal communication skills • Experience of working collaboratively with other operations personnel • Ideally experience of working within a continuous improvement environment • Strong attention to detail • Good communication skills Salary and benefits: • Salary negotiable • 25 days holiday per year plus 8 bank holidays • Company Profit Share Scheme • Two paid breaks • Nine-day fortnight • Healthcare cash plan • Excellent canteen facility with tea, coffee and milk provided • EV salary sacrifice scheme • Pension • Parking on site Working hours: • · Nine-day fortnight, plus two paid breaks: Week 1 :Monday to Thursday (week 1) – 7.45 am and 4.45 pm Week2: Monday to Thursday and 7.45 am to 4.45 pm, Friday 7:45pm- 3:30pm APPLY FOR THIS JOB
