Position: Mechanical Design Engineer Job Description: Job Summary We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in product design and development. The candidate should have hands-on experience in Creo, mechanical design, and New Product Development (NPD). The role involves designing electromechanical products, developing 3D models and drawings, supporting prototype builds, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products. Key Responsibilities • Design mechanical components and assemblies for new product development. • Create 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing drawings using Creo Parametric. • Design plastic, sheet metal, machined, and casting components. • Support electromechanical products and enclosure design. • Apply DFM/DFA principles to improve manufacturability and cost. • Perform basic engineering calculations, GD&T application, and tolerance stack-up analysis. • Support prototype development, testing, and design validation activities. • Work closely with electronics, manufacturing, sourcing, and quality teams. • Resolve design issues during prototype and production stages. • Prepare engineering documentation, BOMs, and release packages. Required Skills • 2–3 years of experience in mechanical product design. • Proficiency in Creo Parametric for 3D modeling and assembly design. • Understanding of New Product Development (NPD) processes. • Knowledge of plastic part design and injection molding. • Experience in sheet metal, casting, and machined component design. • Good understanding of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and manufacturing processes. • Basic knowledge of structural, thermal, or flow simulation. • Familiarity with prototype development and product validation. • Good analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. • Experience in electromechanical product development is preferred. • Exposure to PLM/PDM systems and engineering change management is an added advantage.
