The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigerian nationals for the position below at the Institute’s Headquarters in Ibadan. Position:        Mechanic I Contract:       3-years renewable contract                                             Location: Ibadan Closing Date: 29 July, 2026. DUTIES:  Carry out electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting on vehicles. Carry out auto electrical and mechanical maintenance and repair. Carry out recovery of vehicle(s) at the stipulated location. Carry out cleaning of workshop floor and equipment respectively. Perform any other related duties as may be assigned by the Supervisor. Requirements QUALIFICATION: O’ Level with a minimum of three (3) years’ experience or Trade Test III with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment. Possession of any other recognized automotive technical certification will be an added advantage. COMPETENCIES: The ideal candidate must have: Proficiency in automotive technology repairs, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently under minimal supervision while demonstrating a willingness to learn and adapt. Possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and other characteristics (KSAOs) required performing the role effectively.
