• Mechanic Helper (AD, DW, OSY, ISY) CA *This is a Work Experience (work-based learning) position available through Workforce Solutions Coastal Bend. All candidates will be considered after program eligibility is determined. Job Title: Mechanic Helper Position: FT, 8am-5pm, Monday-Friday Location: Kingsville Second Chance Employer: No Pay Rate $10.00 an hour Age: 18+ MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent Assist to Inspect vehicles to determine overall condition. Record information about parts, materials or repair procedures. Operate transportation equipment to demonstrate function or malfunction. Assist in Test mechanical systems to ensure proper functioning. Replace worn, damaged, or defective mechanical parts. Adjust vehicle components according to specifications. Assisting with Repair non-engine automotive or vehicle components. Confer with coworkers to coordinate work activities. Read work orders or descriptions of problems to determine repairs or modifications needed. Inspect gas systems or components to identify leaks or other potential hazards. Estimate costs for labor or materials. Align equipment or machinery.
