Experienced Maternity Nurse required to provide 24-hour newborn care and parental guidance for first-time parents during a 3–5 month booking based in the USA. A warm, professional and highly organised first-time family are seeking an experienced Travelling Maternity Nurse to join them ahead of the arrival of their baby. The role will begin in the USA, where the family will remain for the baby’s birth and early months before they relocate to Germany. The family are looking for a knowledgeable and reassuring maternity nurse who can confidently guide them through every aspect of newborn care. They are keen to establish healthy feeding and sleep habits from the beginning whilst gaining the confidence and knowledge to continue once the booking has come to an end. They would value someone who can provide evidence-based advice whilst adapting their approach to suit the family’s individual preferences. Job Specification Providing 24-hour care for a newborn Supporting breastfeeding and/or bottle feeding Establishing healthy feeding and sleep routines Monitoring the baby’s development and wellbeing Providing practical newborn education and parental guidance Maintaining organised records of feeding, sleep and daily routines Supporting the family whilst travelling and adapting to different environments Undertaking all nursery duties Candidate Specification Experienced Travelling Maternity Nurse with excellent newborn knowledge Strong feeding and sleep guidance experience Confident supporting first-time parents Calm, organised and highly professional Proactive whilst respecting the family’s parenting preferences Flexible and experienced working within private households Happy to travel internationally throughout the booking Accommodation: Bed in the Nursery This role is being recruited by Eden Private Staff, specialists in private household recruitment for over 25 years.
