The Materials Buyer  is responsible for  sourcing,  purchasing , and managing the supply of raw materials, components, and supplies  required  for production or operations. This role ensures materials are obtained at the best cost, quality, and delivery timelines while  maintaining  strong relationships with suppliers and supporting efficient inventory levels.   Key Responsibilities:   Source and  purchase  raw materials, components, and supplies  in accordance with  company requirements.   Evaluate supplier quotes, negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules.   Issue and manage purchase orders and ensure  accurate  documentation.   Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with production, planning, and warehouse teams to  maintain   optimal  stock levels.   Track supplier performance, including quality, pricing, and delivery reliability.   Resolve supply chain issues such as shortages, delays, or quality concerns.   Analyze purchasing data to  identify  cost-saving opportunities.   Maintain up-to-date records of suppliers, pricing, and contracts.   Collaborate with internal departments to forecast material needs and ensure uninterrupted operations.   Ensure compliance with company policies, procurement standards, and applicable regulations.   Key Competencies:   Attention to detail   Negotiation and cost control   Time management and prioritization   Supply chain analysis   Cross-functional collaboration   Required Qualifications:   Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management , Business Administration, Logistics, or  a related  field (or equivalent experience).   5 + years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience preferred.   Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.   Proficiency  in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).   Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.   Strong communication  and relationship-building abilities .   Preferred Qualifications:   Experience in manufacturing or industrial purchasing environments.   Knowledge of inventory management and demand planning processes.   Certification such as CPSM, CPM, or APICS is a plus.   Working Conditions:   Office-based role  in our Allentown, PA, site  with occasional supplier communication and coordination.   May require coordination with production or warehouse environments.   Spectrum Vascular is an Equal Opportunity Employer and committed to creating a diverse and   inclusive company culture.
