MARKETING SPECIALIST Contract-to-Hire A Marketing Specialist at CTC is a versatile, hands-on marketer who brings design and copy craft to life across our brand's channels. You will design graphics across our marketing channels — from YouTube thumbnails and social posts to slide decks and beyond; write B2B copy that speaks to DTC ecommerce brands; execute the social content calendar across LinkedIn, YouTube, and X, adapting each piece to fit the platform; and stay ahead of market and design trends. You use AI tools to work efficiently across all of it. Your job is to take a brief and turn it into on-brand, finished work, quickly. This role begins as a 3–6 month contract engagement, with the intention of converting to a full-time position based on performance and fit.   WHAT WE LOOK FOR This place isn’t for everyone, but it might be for you if…   YOU SET THE STANDARD   You are committed to making decisions informed by research Your customer service is referenced as the bar that others strive to emulate  You take pride in arriving to meetings prepared with insight to contribute You organize your time and say “no” appropriately so that you can attend to what is most critical  You are committed to approaching challenge & failure with curiosity about how to improve Your word is trustworthy; you do what you say you will    YOU ARE DRIVEN TO INCREASE VALUE   You are passionate about building brands for the next generation You gather context ahead of meetings so that you arrive prepared with insight and input  You clearly articulate your expertise so that even a beginner can understand the concept You are in the habit of documenting and reporting your work   YOU CREATE AN ENVIRONMENT OF EXCELLENCE You seek opportunities to refine your skills without being prompted You desire to inspire others with your excellence and expertise  You are willing to put in the reps to be an expert in your domain You resist the temptation to play victim; instead, you take 100% ownership over outcomes     What Success Looks Like NECESSARY SKILLS AI-ASSISTED MARKETING WORKFLOWS Uses AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Midjourney/Firefly) daily to speed up ideation, drafting, and production Knows when AI output needs human review, and can identify and correct off-brand or inaccurate output before it goes out   GRAPHIC DESIGN Designs YouTube thumbnails, data-driven graphics, and social posts (LinkedIn, X) that are on-brand and built to earn clicks Comfortable in at least one design tool (Canva, Figma, or Adobe Suite) and can adapt one asset across formats Maintains visual consistency with brand guidelines across every format   B2B COPYWRITING FOR DTC ECOMMERCE Writes copy that speaks to DTC ecommerce brand stakeholders, from CMOs to marketing managers Adjusts tone and message for decision-makers versus end users within the same account Builds copy appropriate to funnel stage, from top-of-funnel education to bottom-of-funnel conversion   SOCIAL MEDIA EXECUTION Executes the social content calendar across LinkedIn, YouTube, and X, matching format and tone to each platform   TREND FLUENCY Follows marketing, design, and social trends and can separate real signal from noise Flags relevant trends to the team and can move quickly to execute once given direction to test one   NEXT-LEVEL SKILLS EMAIL MARKETING Understands when to send an email and why, mapping sends to funnel stage and calendar moments Writes and structures email content that fits the goal of each send   VIDEO EDITING (LONG-FORM TO SHORT-FORM) Identifies clippable, high-retention moments in long-form video and cuts them into short-form content Comfortable in tools like CapCut, Premiere, or Descript for cutting
