Description
MARKETING MANAGER ABOUT US Eliza is a technology services company and Advanced-tier OpenAI partner that’s dedicated to helping organizations build and deploy cutting-edge AI solutions. From generative AI and custom LLM integrations to predictive analytics and intelligent automation, we work across industries to bring real-world AI applications to life. Our projects combine deep technical expertise with hands-on client collaboration to solve high-impact problems. ROLE OVERVIEW The Marketing Manager is Eliza’s first dedicated marketing hire, based in New York City and reporting to the VP of Growth and Strategic Partnerships. You’ll own execution across content, LinkedIn (organic and paid), events, and sales collateral. Today this work is done by the executive team. Your job is to take it over, ship it faster, and raise the bar. This is a hands-on role with no team today, so it's own you to build the foundation of Eliza's marketing strategy. You’ll operate with a high degree of autonomy in a company where “Set the Standard” is how we work. Two things to know before applying. First, we’re an AI-native firm and we work that way internally: this role is scoped for one person because we expect you to use AI tools aggressively across everything you do, from drafting and editing to research, reporting, and campaign ops. If AI isn’t already core to how you work, this role will feel impossible. Second, this is a fast-paced, high-ownership environment. You’ll get outcomes, not instructions. Priorities shift quickly, ambiguity is constant, and the bar is high. If you want a structured role with a predictable rhythm, this isn’t it. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Own Content and Thought Leadership - Manage the editorial pipeline end to end: blog posts, guides, case studies, and POV pieces. - Edit and sharpen drafts from engineers and executives into publishable work. - Turn technical brain dumps into credible practitioner content that holds up with a technical audience. 2. Run LinkedIn, Organic and Paid - Own the company LinkedIn presence end to end. - Manage our paid media agency: set campaign briefs, review targeting and creative, and hold them accountable to CPL and pipeline contribution. - Direct our video agency on ad creative, including briefs, feedback, and versioning for campaigns. 3. Manage Agencies and Vendors - Act as day-to-day owner of our three agency relationships (web development, video production, paid media): priorities, timelines, quality control, and budget accountability. - Keep website updates and campaigns moving through our web agency. - Set direction, judge the work against a high bar, and push back when it misses. 4. Execute Events - Own logistics and follow-up for executive events, workshops, and co-hosted programs with partners (we co-hosted a PE summit at the NYSE with OpenAI). - Build pre-event outreach and post-event nurture sequences. 5. Produce Collateral and Run Campaigns - Produce one-pagers, workshop briefs, and sales assets in our brand system. - Keep HubSpot campaigns, lists, and attribution clean and reportable. QUALIFICATIONS Required - 5–6 years of B2B marketing experience, ideally in professional services, consulting, or enterprise software. - Daily, fluent use of AI tools in your actual workflow (Claude, ChatGPT, or similar): you can show us how you use them to produce more, faster, at higher quality. - Owns outcomes, not tasks: you define what needs to happen, drive it, and deliver without being managed closely. - Thrives in ambiguity, moves extremely fast, and holds a high personal quality bar. - Experience managing multiple agencies or vendors at once. - Strong writer and editor across long-form content and short-form social. - Event execution experience, from invite list through follow-up. - HubSpot proficiency. - Based in New York City, or able to relocate, for in-person work with leadership and NYC-based
