Our client is a European defense-tech company developing advanced technologies to support police and military forces in addressing 21st-century security challenges.
Key points of the position:
As Marketing & Communications Manager, you will own and structure the company’s communication and positioning strategy while ensuring a strong and credible industry presence.
Reporting directly to the founders, you will play a key role in shaping the company’s external image and supporting its strategic growth through high-quality communication and event execution.
Your missions will include:
• Developing and refining the overall communication strategy and core messaging,
• Ensuring clear and consistent positioning of the company’s mission, technology, and market relevance,
• Owning the selection, planning, and execution of trade fairs, defense expos, conferences, and hackathons,
• Managing the full event lifecycle from concept and preparation to on-site execution,
• Taking full responsibility for the website structure, content, and digital positioning,
• Ensuring a professional, precise, and strategically aligned online presence,
• Creating high-quality presentations, event materials, and communication assets,
• Translating complex technical topics into structured and credible communication in close collaboration with founders and engineers,
• Aligning cross-functional messaging to ensure consistency and impact.
Necessary skills:
• Proven experience in Marketing and Communications, ideally within a deep-tech or startup environment
• Strong strategic thinking combined with hands-on execution capabilities,
• Experience managing industry events, trade fairs, or conferences independently,
• Ability to structure and professionalize communication processes,
• Excellent organizational and project management skills,
• Strong writing and presentation skills with attention to precision and credibility,
• Fluent German (native/fluent) and fluent English are imperative,
• Eligibility for German security clearance (SÜ2/Ü2) is a strong plus.
Salary: 55–85k euros gross annual
