Role Overview Manufacturing professionals apply their industry knowledge to train and evaluate AI models, helping improve how artificial intelligence interprets real-world manufacturing tasks, terminology, and workflows. Key Responsibilities • Develop industry-specific prompts and scenarios that reflect real manufacturing tasks and language. • Evaluate large language model responses for accuracy, relevance, and practical usefulness in manufacturing contexts. • Provide detailed feedback and examples that help refine AI understanding of purchasing, inventory, design, engineering, and production processes. • Work asynchronously with project teams to complete assigned tasks and reviews according to project guidelines. Qualifications • At least 4 years of professional experience in one or more of the following or similar roles: Buyers and Purchasing Agent, Shipping, Receiving, and Inventory Clerk, Commercial and Industrial Designer, Electronics Engineer (except Computer), Chemical Engineer. • Ability to work primarily asynchronously and collaborate with AI research partners through written instructions and deliverables. Work Terms • Location: Remote, work from anywhere. • Employment type: Part-time, asynchronous engagement. • Flexible hours, with no minimum weekly hour requirement. • Placement into specific projects depends on project availability and openings that become available periodically. Project Availability The initiative runs year-round, with project opportunities opening periodically across different manufacturing and engineering specialties. Assignment to a specific project or area depends on current project needs and availability. Compensation • Pay: Up to $120/hr (depending on the project). Eligibility and Work Authorization • F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible to participate. Consult your Designated School Official to confirm eligibility. • If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, this program may not meet that requirement. • STEM OPT is not supported for participation. • Refer to the program help documentation for additional details on supported work authorizations.
