Manufacturing Business Analyst - Controller
Department
The Manufacturing Planning department is responsible for drilling down the company strategy into annual budgets. The yearly financial budget cycle and the budget follow-up itself, is managed in collaboration with colleagues from different departments such as HR, Production, Procurement, R&D department and Corporate Planning. Next to the budget process, the department is involved in strategic projects and is responsible for compliancy on production related topics.
Your role
As part of the Manufacturing Planning Department you are, together with your colleagues, responsible for the monthly follow-up of the annual budget & production process.
• You will be involved in the preparation & calculation of the P&L based upon the production plan, taking into account material cost, labour cost, energy cost, expenses, investments, supply cost and other elements.
• You will perform activities during the monthly closing process and analyse plan data versus result .
• You will monitor the stock levels in our organisation, assessing stock requirements & defective stocks to reduce the working capital cost.
During developments of new products, you will be involved in the cost calculation, monitoring the profitability of new product launches. In the long run, you will be involved in strategic projects, examining the financial feasibility of innovation proposals and changes in process flows.
You will be involved in the follow-up and reporting on compliancy matters such as the quarterly financial audit and legislation related to F-gasses which are a critical element in Daikin’s social commitment towards government & society.
As part of the digitisation of the financial processes, you will be involved in the introduction of PowerBI reporting in the organisation.
Your profile
• You obtained a Master degree within Economics e.g. Business Engineering, Business Economics, TEW, …
• You have up to 5 years of experience in a similar role as business analyst or controller, or in an analytical position in a production environment.
• You have a strong interest in working within a production environment.
• You work accurate, have the ability to dig into the details without losing the helicopter view and demonstrate good communication skills
• You are a team player but you’re also able to work independently
• You are result-driven with a strong focus on improvements
• Numbers hold no secrets for you and good knowledge of Excel is a must.
• Knowledge of SAP and Power BI is an asset.
• Knowledge of both spoken and written English are essential for this job.
