Description
The Twin City Chinese Christian Church (T4C) is a non-denominational independent church that seeks to be the center of evangelism and discipleship for the Chinese community in the Minneapolis-St. Paul metro and the Greater Minnesota region. To accomplish this vision, T4C seeks a Mandarin Pastor/Minister to join the ministry team. Currently, T4C serves about 500 worshippers in the Mandarin, Cantonese, and English congregations combined.
The Mandarin Pastor/Minister is part of the Pastor-Elder Council (PEC) working with two Mandarin Elders, with support from the Mandarin Leadership Committee (MLC), and guided by the Mandarin Blueprint, to minister to the Mandarin Congregation of about 150 worshippers. Qualifications:
1. Has God’s calling to serve in a local church as a shepherd-pastor.
2. Godly character as stated in I Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:6-9, and I Peter 5:1-4.
3. Firm biblical beliefs, especially its pastoral implications for church ministry and Christian life.
4. Master of Divinity degree (or higher) from an accredited seminary in North America compatible with T4C in faith and biblical doctrine.
5. Pastor-teacher who is effective in teaching and expository preaching.
6. Fluent in Mandarin; and able to communicate clearly in English.
7. Ministry experience in a Chinese Christian church in North America preferable.
8. Servant leader.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead overall Mandarin ministry with two Elders, including:
• Preaching and Teaching
• Praying
• Evangelism
• Fellowship
• Leadership Training
• Planning and Organizing
2. Commitment to shared leadership.
3. Pastoral care – visitations, counseling, weddings, funerals, baptisms, and other duties.
4. Discipleship and equipping members for ministry.
Starting Date: Upon approval of T4C.
Work Status: Authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship. U.S. Citizen or permanent resident preferred.
