Description
The Washington Commanders Community Relations Department is seeking a qualified individual to join the team as a full-time employee. The right individual will be able to work as part of a team or independently. This position will primarily be responsible for managing the team’s youth and high school football platform, events, and programs. This individual will serve as a liaison between all youth and high school football programs in the Washington Commanders Team market as well as the NFL and related team partners. Roles and Responsibilities • Work with Director of Community Relations to develop the youth and high school football strategy for the Washington Commanders. • Manage the development and implementation of youth football community outreach programs (e.g. Nike Kickoff Classic, Player Clinics, Gatorade Junior Training Camps, NFL Flag events, Special Olympics Flag Football, Play Football Gameday Activation, youth football equipment donation requests, etc.) • Manage the development and implementation of high school football community outreach programs (e.g, 4th & Life High School Football Forum, High School Coaches Clinic, High School Football Showcase, High School Coach of the Week, Friday Night Lights, InSideOut Initiative, Positive Coaching Alliance, etc.) • Actively develop new relationships within the youth football community and understand current affairs of youth football in the Washington Commanders market. • Expand current and/or develop new youth football programming as needed (e.g. Development of Washington Commanders Youth Football Camps, Girls Flag Football grassroots activations and working toward it being a sanctioned sport, etc.) • Manage database of youth and high school football contacts
