OVERVIEW Work set up: Onsite Work location: IT Park, Cebu City The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization’s tax planning, compliance, and reporting. This role ensures adherence to tax regulations while identifying opportunities to optimize tax strategies and minimize risk. The Tax Manager works closely with finance leadership, external advisors, and cross-functional teams to support business objectives and maintain compliance with applicable laws. RESPONSIBILITIES • Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local tax returns (income, sales/use, property, and other applicable taxes). • Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax laws. • Lead tax planning initiatives to optimize the company’s tax position and minimize liabilities. • Coordinate and manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities. • Review and reconcile tax-related accounts and ensure accurate tax reporting in financial statements. • Supervise and mentor tax staff; provide guidance and performance feedback. • Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to support month-end and year-end close processes. • Manage relationships with external tax advisors and consultants. • Develop and maintain internal controls related to tax processes and documentation. • Prepare tax forecasts and provide strategic recommendations to senior leadership. QUALIFICATIONS • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree in Taxation preferred). • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent professional certification preferred. • 5+ years of progressive tax experience in public accounting or corporate tax environment. • Strong knowledge of tax regulations. • Experience managing tax audits and compliance processes. • Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems. • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. • Strong leadership and communication abilities. • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
