Description
Mutares SE & Co. KGaA, Munich ( www.mutares.com ), as a listed private equity holding company, acquires medium-sized companies in special situations, which show significant operational improvement potential and are sold again after undergoing a repositioning and stabilization process. Mutares actively supports its portfolio companies with its own investment and operations teams and through strategic add-on acquisitions. The focus is on companies with revenues ranging from EUR 100 million to EUR 750 million, across various industries. The aim is to achieve a clear value increase with a focus on sustainable, long-term growth of the portfolio company.
Your Tasks
Group Reporting & Consolidation
• Support the preparation of the consolidated financial statements of the Mutares Group in accordance with IFRS
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and half-yearly financial statements for the Mutares Group, including capital market communications
• Review statutory financial statements in accordance with German GAAP (HGB)
• Contribute to the improvement and implementation of finance and reporting tools
Portfolio Management and Investment Controlling
• Support individual portfolio companies with accounting topics, particularly in accordance with IFRS, and assist in restructuring and transformation projects from the holding company’s perspective
• Perform monthly variance analyses between actual and target figures in close contact with the operating investments, including preparing analyses and commenting on results
• Participate in reviews and handle ad-hoc and special topics within portfolio companies
Your Profile
• Successfully completed a Finance or similar degree with outstanding results
• At least 5 years of experience in auditing (preferably within a Big 4 firm); additional experience in industry (e.g., investment controlling) is advantageous
• Advanced knowledge of IFRS
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with an entrepreneurial mindset and hands-on approach
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AI tools; experience with LucaNet is a plus
• Business-fluent in German and English, with the ability to communicate in a structured and concise manner
