Description
This role is a role below Director of Cloud Network Engineering.Key Responsibilities:Leading a team of cloud network engineers; developing team strategy and goals aimed to exceed enterprise standards and maximize key business objectives. Managing the vision, design and development of cloud network solutions and infrastructure while optimizing budget, managing progress, and adhering to security and compliance safeguards/protocols.Overseeing the execution of cloud-based network solutions; supporting the implementation of cloud-based solutions throughout the organization.Identifying and monitoring key metrics necessary to monitor the performance of overall operations i.e. capacity, availability, integrity, and cost-efficiency.Engineering, implementing and maintaining critical network infrastructure to meet/exceed enterprise standards; predicting and planning for capacity increases.Providing defense-in-depth protection from cyber security threats through the use of firewalls, IDS/IPS, various proxy gateway and other network security devices.Participating in knowledge sharing sessions; acting as a liaison to senior executives, departmental heads, software, infrastructure, network and solutions engineers and relevant stakeholders; participate in code and design reviews.Ensuring adherence to cloud operations best practices; collaborating with cyber security and software engineering teams to ensure security of cloud applications.Desired Profile:10+ years of working experience in cloud network engineering and architecture. 5+ years of working experience managing engineering and technical personalExperience managing infrastructure projects; cross-functional collaborationExperience with Agile methodologies and demonstrated ability to operate in this modelWorking experience with cyber security; cyber security coursework, experience, or certificationsExperience with architecture and solution development in the following technologiesPublic Cloud AWS, Azure or GCPPrivate Cloud, Software Defined Data CenterSD-WAN, VeloCloud or equivalent productInfrastructure Security concepts and strategiesDevOps methodologiesInfrastructure as Code (IaC), Terraform, Ansible Tower, Python Deployment and/or Custom ScriptingNetworking platforms, firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco) routing/switching (Cisco, Arista, Aruba HP etc.), DNS/DHCP (Infoblox), application load balancers (f5), proxy servers (Netscope, zScaler, Forcepoint)Linux: RHEL, Docker, KubernetesConfluence, Jira, SlackWorking experience in the financial services industry; understanding of the roles of consumer and custodial banks; experience managing sensitive financial dataExperience implementing large-scale infrastructure solutions with a proven track record of successExperience working in an agile development environmentMicrosoft and Cisco coursework and/or certificationsKnowledge of TCP/IP networksRequired: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related disciplinePreferred: Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline
