Manager, AML Compliance, Project Management (Fixed Term) – Sydney, Australia The   Manager, AML Compliance Project Management   will   support   the Program Director in   the development of processes, systems, and strategies related to Western Union   Australia’s   compliance with   local financial crime   regulations ,   Western Union’s global policies   and industry best practices. An opportunity to join Western Union’s Compliance Team on a full-time basis for a   24 -month period. Role Responsibilities: • Manage   components of   a complex large   financial crime compliance uplift   project   . • Lead / co or dinate   core project   activities   including   gap   analysis , solu tion desig n , documentation,   issue   resolution,   resource planning, progress tracking,   status reporting, implementation ,   change   management , and post   implementation review   and c losure . • Monitor/evaluate project progress,   maintain   project documentation and develop presentations for communication. Role Requirements: • Minimum   five years of   experience managing   financial   crime   comp liance u pli ft / remediati on   projects in a complex retail/consumer financial services organi s ation   with multiple products in payment services,   ideally in a   multinational institution. • Practical experience   in developing and executing   project management   methodology . • Substantive   u nderstanding of   Australian AML/CTF   regulations within the   financial service s industry . • E xcellent communications   and presentation   skills ;   ability to create change through influence, foster teamwork and orchestrate teams;   demonstrate   effective interpersonal skills, ability to earn the trust of leadership ,   business   partners   and relevant subject matter experts. • Strong customer-centric viewpoint   and highly motivated   to   identifying   and pursuing process efficien cies . • A degree in commerce, business, law, finance, risk, compliance, or equivalent . • Ability to ad apt working hours to   prioritise   interactions with global stakeholders   located   in other   jurisdictions   as   required . • Proven ability to work autonomously with   high level   of attention to detail as well as contribute   to   a team setting alongside other risk,   complian c e   and project management personnel.
